Thousands of volunteers head to Port Aransas to help with Harvey aftermath

Many of them are San Antonians who picked up supplies and drove them to the coastal towns.

SAN ANTONIO - People from San Antonio area and across the country, have put their lives on hold to help hurricane victims who lost everything and get their life back on track.

Some collected supplies and some volunteered their time, cleaning up from the aftermath.

KENS 5’S Sarah Forgany joined them on the trip to Aransas Pass and Port Aransas and witnessed how a little help will go a long way.

If you would like to volunteer in Port Aransas, visit the Port Aransas Community Center at 408 Alister Street where they have different jobs available for volunteers.
