FIRST ALERT: Heavy rain hits Uvalde area

Wednesday morning weather update

UVALDE COUNTY, Texas -- The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Uvalde and Uvalde Estates until 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. The warning expired after that.

NWS said more than three inches of rain fell in the area before 6 a.m. Wednesday.

However, KENS 5 meteorologist Paul Mireles said activity in that area was expected to decrease throughout the morning.

Kinney County was also under a Flood Advisory early Wednesday.

Bexar County was not experiencing rain, and heavy rain was not expected to hit the San Antonio metro area.
