FIRST ALERT: Freeze possible for Hill Country Thanksgiving morning

While a freeze is possible in the Hill Country, San Antonio will see lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s throughout the week.

Portions of the Hill Country could see low temperatures in the low 30s Wednesday night into Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service and KENS 5 Chief Meteorologist Bill Taylor.

However, despite cold temperatures overnight and in the early morning, high temperatures could bounce back to the low 70s during the day on Thanksgiving.

Taylor said to make sure and protect your pets and plants by bringing them inside.

The San Antonio metro area isn't expected to see temperatures quite that cold, with lows in the 40s to mid 50s this week.
