your jacket: Freeze in Hill Country, warmer in S.A. this weekend

It's going to get much colder to finish the week with highs in the 60s on Friday and Saturday with lows in the 50s on Friday then the 40s on Saturday through Monday.

It's time to bundle up, San Antonio. The first real signs of freezing weather are arriving as we head into the weekend.

A strong cold front is expected to bring the first freeze of the fall season for parts of South Central Texas over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Early-morning freezing temperatures are expected to be limited to parts of the Hill Country for Saturday, but the frigid conditions could reach into low-lying areas as far south as Highway 90 on Sunday morning.

We're expecting temperatures in San Antonio to reach 40 on Saturday morning and the upper 30s by Sunday morning. Daytime highs will be in the upper 60 to the lower 70s over the weekend.

We should see warming by Monday, with morning lows reaching the upper 40s and the highs near 80 degrees.
