“Most things are driven by school districts which is why the north-central part of San Antonio has always been hot,” said Bob Leonard a broker for Remax.
The richest zip codes are 78255 along I-10 West, 78257 near the Dominion, and 78248, 78258 both near Stone Oak Parkway, according to the website.
Their data shows number 1 is 78261 east of U.S. 281 north of Loop 1604.
It shows 78257 south of Ralph Fair Road is also the fastest-growing zip code, and 78245 near Potranco Road is the city's most populated.
Gregorio Morales, a retired New York firefighter says, “We got great schools here. The people are great. And it’s clean compared to where I came from. And people are very polite.”
According to real estate professionals, older neighborhoods in San Antonio are showing a come back because of new development downtown as more companies move their headquarters.

Areas around Cibolo and Schertz have also seen a resurgence because of the San Antonio to Austin commute, Leonard added.
