In a courtroom this week, the State laid out evidence that outlined how a local man had impersonated  a sheriff's deputy in order to attain sexual favors.

Prosecutors told jurors  41-year-old Raul Garza III approached a woman at a pay phone claiming to be a Bexar County Sheriff's deputy, then forced her into his car.

Police said Garza told the victim if she didn't perform sexual acts on him, he would take her to jail.

Last June Garza was arrested and charged with  impersonation of a public servant.

On Friday, the jury turned in a guilty verdict. The sentencing phase begins Monday afternoon.
