SAN ANTONIO -- Theft charges are mounting against a local woman accused of attacking a mall cop while trying to steal underwear from a department store.
San Antonio police say 26-year old Vanessa Ojeda is one of the women seen in surveillance pictures attacking a Sears Loss Prevention Officer at Ingram Park Mall.
After a Crime Stoppers tip was called in, Ojeda was arrested at her home in May.
But authorities believe the panty caper wasn't Ojeda's first.
Investigators say that same tipster reported that Ojeda had also stolen several purses from North Star Mall. Police were already investigating that case which happened in April.
According to a SAPD arrest warrant, surveillance video shows Ojeda and a Hispanic male suspect, stealing six Burberry purses from Saks Fifth Avenue in North Star Mall.
The purses are estimated to be worth around $7,000.
Crime Stoppers is asking the public’s help in find the two female suspects involved in the attack on the security guard.
Investigators are also looking for the Hispanic male suspect seen with Ojeda at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Ojeda is currently being lodged in the Bexar County Jail. Her bond has been set at $50,000.
