Local fire fighters got a helping hand Tuesday.
Volunteers with H-E-B rolled up their sleeves to lend a hand at several San Antonio fire stations.
They served up meals, hosed down trucks and did a little yard work as part of the 8th Annual Helping Heroes campaign.
It is the company's way of honoring local fire fighters and paying tribute to the rescue teams who risked their lives on September 11, 2001.
