Rescuers came to the aid of a horse that was stranded on a small river island in Buckeye, Ariz., on Tuesday. The horse had been stranded in the West Valley after its rider was caught up in a strong current on Friday.
Air West Helicopters were used to carry out the horse on Tuesday. Mark Eshenbaugh, the horse's owner says he knows he is lucky to be alive after being swept in up in the current with two other riders.
