SAN ANTONIO -- Spurs shooting guard Manu Ginobili is infamous for having his name misspelled. But one place where it's definitely written correctly: the newly unveiled Ginobili statue in Buenos Aires.

The NBA star broke the news on his Twitter account after posting a photo of him standing next to the bronze sculpture. In the caption he wrote,"Vieja: no me recibí de médico, pero me hicieron una estatua en Buenos Aires! #TomáMate."

For those Spurs fans who may not have their Spanish up to par, that translates to "Mom: I didn't become a doctor, but they made me a statue in Buenos Aires!"

The statue was reportedly placed near an area in Argentina where Manu grew up.

Ginobili has been with the Silver and Black for 15 years. In that time he's earned four NBA Championship rings, a 2004 Olympic gold medal and he's been named NBA All-Star twice.

In April, the international superstar and his wife, Marianela, welcomed their third child.
