As daylight broke the true devastation of the overnight fire at the Summerview apartment complex on the city's southeast side becomes more apparent. Many displaced residents are left sitting outside of what's left of their homes. Crews continue to sift through the rubble searching for a 6-year old boy and an elderly woman. San Antonio police and firefighters were initially called to the apartments at 4700 Stringfellow St. on Tuesday before midnight and immediately began breaking through windows and doors trying to rescue residents inside the burning buildings. According to San Antonio fire chief Charles Hood the blaze started in the stairwell of building 2 and spread to buildings 3 and 4 within minutes. It looks basically like an airplane hit the building. he said.
