There are just three things you need to know for Meat Week 2013: Eat. Meat. Repeat.

For the first year ever, San Antonio is partaking in the annual eight-day barbecue chow-down. And with all the superb pit masters around the city, it's about time!

Denise Aguirre, co-founder of The Point Park & Eats food truck park off Boerne Stage Road, started the San Antonio chapter after seeing the hilarious Eat. Meat. Repeat T-shirt on Facebook.

This year, she registered the San Antonio chapter and combed through Yelp reviews for some of the top barbecue spots around the city -- with all the great grub in San Antonio, Aguirre swore it was not easy picking only a handful. She also made sure to include some food truck vendors.

It was important for me to support the food trucks because were so closely involved with the food trucks at The Park, she said. The winter time is not fun for food truck operators.

Meat Week San Antonio will conclude on Sunday, Feb. 3 with an all-day meating at the The Point Park & Eats food truck park and bar, where six trucks will be serving up meaty, juicy, meaty, moist, meaty, saucy items. Football fans, don't fret; the Super Bowl will be showing on a giant screen at the park. Saint Arnold's Brewing Company will also be sampling brews from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
