A south-side neighborhood was flooded most of the night into Wednesday morning after a water main busted late Tuesday night int he 500 block of Hansford.

Several residents called the KENS 5 newsroom complaining they had called SAWS and couldn't get any help.

A SAWS representative said the break was reported around 1:00 a.m. and they got crews out immediately.

Apparently the water main break blew a hole in the street.

Crews had to halt overnight work while utility lines were located.

A water tanker was called in to help out residents with water Wednesday morning.

It's not clear when the water main will be fixed.
