SAN ANTONIO -- A local woman faces two counts of intoxication manslaughter following an overnight accident.

Around 1:00a.m. Sunday, the woman, who was heading weast on Highway 90 near 36th Street, lost control of her SUV, crossed the median and slammed into oncoming traffic.

The passengers of the car she allegedly hit, 48-year-old Corinne Howllingsworth of Round Rock and 28-year-old Rauel Cooney of Lubbock, were killed instantly.

The driver of the SUV failed a field sobriety test. She was taken to University Hospital for examination.
