SANANTONIO-- A 10-year-old girl traveling with her family from Corpus Christi back to San Antonio died when the car she was in rolled over at I-37 and S.E. Military on the southeast side.

Police reports say the accident happened around 9:30 p.m.Monday. They said a total of sixpeoplewere inside the car when the accident occurred.

A witness said the car was weaving for a couple of miles prior to the accident.

The driver, 30-year-old Erica Ann Parra, told police that her contacts were bothering her. She said she just closed her eyes for a minute when the crash occurred.

That s when the driver of the car hit a guardrail head-on, flipping her vehicle. All who were inside the car were thrown out.

The four children in the vehicle were reportedly sleeping and were not wearing seat belts. Police reported that 10-year-old Analysa Para, was killed instantly when the car landed on top of her.

The father, 30-year-old Arturo Parra, had to be cut out of the vehicle. He was airlifted to University Hospital in critical condition.

The other passengers were also taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.

The family is from San Antonio and is believed to have been returning home from spending the holiday weekend in Corpus Christi.
