The friends and family of a 15-year-old Comal County student plan to gather over the weekend to remember his life.

Logan Davidson died Wednesday after another student had attacked him the day before in a hallway at Canyon High School.

Students were honoring Logan with a moment of silence at the school's football playoff game Friday night.

On Sunday, a viewing is scheduled at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home from 2 to 6 p.m. The funeral will take place Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels.

I was just in complete shock, said Jacob Stansel, one of Logan's classmates. I didn't get much classwork done that day.

He said he tried to talk to Logan at the hospital Wednesday, but his friend had just passed away. Jacob said he shared some words with Logan at his bedside anyway.

We was like a brother to me, and I said I would love and miss him, he said.

The 15-year-old boy accused of punching Logan and killing him is charged with aggravated assault and is being held at a detention center in Guadalupe County. The Comal County District Attorney's Office told KENS 5 it has yet to review the case.

Logan s uncle said the family is focused on comforting one another.

We have no facts whatsoever, Mitch Davidson said. It's obviously a devastating event for the family, but without any facts and without knowing what happened, we will not comment on what transpired in the school that day.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the death a homicide, saying Logan died due to blunt force trauma to the head.
