SAN ANTONIO -- A crash was reported near the on-ramp for Southwest Military Drive on I-35 South. San Antonio Fire Department reported that 14 units were at the scene.

Authorities said a driver in a red pick-up truck was going the wrong wayon I-35 around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night when the driver collided with a minivan and 18-wheeler.

The driver of the pickup truck, Timothy Furr, 53, died at the hospital. The driver of the minivan, Melodie Trevino, 48, died at the scene. A third victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

Traffic was shut down in both directions on I-35 shortly after the accident. Northbound lanes were back open shortly after midnight Wednesday morning.
