ALAMO HEIGHTS, Texas -- The city of Alamo Heights announced on Monday that it will be moving to Stage 3 water restrictions as of Aug. 19.

Under Stage 3 restrictions, watering by either automatic or manual irrigation systems is permitted only once every other week between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m.

The last number of a resident's address determines their watering day.

Residents may also use drip irrigation, soaker hose, or bucket during any day of the week but only between 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. A hand-held hose may be used any day of the week at any time.
