SAN ANTONIO -- Police say the driver of a Ford Mustang was hospitalized on Friday morning following an accident with a school bus from the North East Independent SchoolDistrict.
The accident occurred around 8 a.m. at the intersection of Walzem Road and Midcrown Drive.
No injures were reported from aboard the school bus, although the bus itself sustained some damage.
Based off photos from the scene, the rear right side of the bus was banged up and the rear right bumper was stripped back.
A spokesperson for San Antonio police said a caller reported the crash from a nearby CVS parking lot. The caller told police the driver was trapped in the Mustang.
Another school bus picked up the children at the scene of the accident.
