PASADENA, Texas Police are searching for a motorcycle rider who left his injured passenger lying in the middle of the road when the two crashed in Pasadena early Friday.

Pasadena police said the man and his female passenger were riding on a motorcycle eastbound on Fairmont Parkway at Tulip around 12:40 a.m.

The driver lost control of the bike when he ran across a slick curve and crashed.The woman fell off the bike head-first, then slid at least 15 feet.Neither was wearing a helmet.

The driver s uncle was riding behind the couple when they crashed.

The nephew hopped onto the back of the uncle s bike and sped off, leaving the injured woman lying in the road.

She was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
