JUNCTION -- About 50 fifth-grade students claim they had to crawl along a hot track and make cat noises as punishment.

The children said four educators took part in the punishment. Apparently, a handful of students disrespected the teacher by making a cat sound.

That's when the teacher took the students outside and in the heat the students said they crawled up the track. Two other teachers and a coach were present during the punishment.

Parents filed a police report and notified Children's Protective Services. A phone call to the Junction ISD superintendent was not returned to KENS5.

With only two-and-a-half weeks left of school, several parents said they pulled their children out of the school.

The Junction Police Department did not return our phone call.
