SAN ANTONIO -- The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled 15-year-old Logan Davidson's death a homicide.
Davidson died from blunt-force trauma to the head, the medical examiner told KENS 5 Friday morning.
Visitation will be held at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, located at 189 N. Seguin Ave., in New Braunfels, Texas. The viewing is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 17, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Oakwood Baptist Church, located at 2154 Texas 337 Loop, in New Braunfels on Monday, Nov. 18, at 10:30 a.m.
A candlelight vigil was held by students at Canyon High School Thursday. A group of local mothers, called Moms of New Braunfels, gathered downtown to tie ribbons all over town in memory of Logan.
Family members said Davidson was in ROTC and talked about wanting to join the military.
New Braunfels police said Davidson was punched twice by another 15-year-old, knocked unconscious and, at some point, hit his head on the wall outside of his classroom. Davidson was airlifted to University Hospital, but died Wednesday evening.
The juvenile suspect is being held at the Guadalupe County Juvenile Detention Center, charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
