Two people were shot dead last Tuesday. Now, less than a week later, deputies have one man in custody, and they are looking for a second suspect.
Authorities arrested Doran Walker of Louisiana. He reportedly confessed to the double murder. His younger brother, Donderick Walker, is still on the run.
Thanks to some excellent police work by our Homicide detectives and also some close cooperation with law enforcement agencies in New Orleans, we were able to arrest Doran Walker, said Bexar County Sheriff Amadeo Ortiz.
They say 27-year-old Doran Walker is accused of killing Larry Williams and Stephan McGowan and injuring Alvin Mathis July 10 at King's Used Cars at 5380 N. Foster Road.
Bexar County investigators say the two sides were fighting over stolen property and money.
The weapon used in the double murder was a 45-caliber handgun.
Upon searching the vehicle in New Orleans, we did discover a plastic gun case which a 45 would have been in, a spent shell casing and some information related to that 45-caliber, said Lt. Martin Molina with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.
BCSO is still looking for 22-year-old Donderick Walker. Authorities are reviewing the victim's cell phone for possible evidence.
They say they already have Twitter messages implicating the Walker brothers, who are now facing capital murder charges.
Sheriff's detectives believe Donderick Walker is in Louisiana. They say they have recovered a suspect vehicle.
