SAN ANTONIO -- Police were kept busy Thursday afternoon with a shooting in broad daylight at a peaceful park on the city's northwest side.
Two people were shotin a neighborhood near New Guilbeau Road and Loop 1604 at around 4 p.m. One of the victims is a 16-year-old boy, police say.
According to authorities, two groups were fighting atthe Guilbeau Park and Community Centerin the 9100 block of Rue De Lis when things escalated and someone pulled out a handgun.
Authorities said the teen and an adult male were shot both shot in the leg.
They are not sure who had the gun. Therewere about seven people involved in the fight. Some of those involved live nearby, but theyran home when the shooting began. Four witnesses were taken in for questioning as police try to identify the shooter.
Police say it is possible itwas a gang-related incident and they are concerned about the outburst of violence.
Both victims are at an area hospital and are expected to be OK.
