DALLAS Gunfire inside the Walmart store at 9301 Forest Lane Monday night injured the weapon's owner along with a woman and her young daughter.
The incident happened around 9:25 p.m. at the store in Northeast Dallas when a customer standing in line to buy milk at the cash registerreached into his pocket to get his wallet.
The man, who Dallas Police said has aConcealed Handgun License,accidentally pulled the trigger of his Springfield.40-caliber semi-automatic pistol. It was holstered inside his pants, a sergeant told News 8.
The gun went off and the bullet grazed the CHLcarrier'sown leg before it struckthe concrete floor. Shards of cementflew into the air and hitat least one woman and her kindergarten-agedaughter, police added.
Dallas Fire-Rescue sent two ambulancesto the scene to treat the minor injuries. Investigators said none of the victims hadlife-threatening wounds.
The man with the gun was arrested and will be charged with injury to a child and evading arrest because he initially fled after the gun discharged, police said. His name was not immediately available.
