On Monday's episode of The Daily Show, Mansour O. El-Kikhia, the chairman of the department of political science and geography at the University of Texas at San Antonio, talked to Jon Stewart about America's role in leading a multinational military action in Libya.

El-Kikhia, a native of Benghazi who immigrated to the U.S. in 1980, defended President Obama's decision to order strikes against the Qaddafi government, citing the threat to perhaps 50,000 residents of the country, including members of his own family, whom he believes would have otherwise been killed. Mr. Obama, thank you! Thank you! El-Kikhia said.
