SANANTONIO A new controversy is brewing over the new student IDs used in the Northside Independent School District.

According to infowars.com, a John Jay High School student refused to carry her ID.

Andrea Hernandez's family says it violated her religious freedom.

According to the NISD website, two schools have implemented a Student Locator Project pilot program: John Jay and Jones Middle School.
