In 2008, the Michigan Associated Press honored Jenny for her continuing coverage of a Flint-area family that survived a tornado that ripped through their home. In April 2009, Jenny was promoted to evening anchor and managing editor. Jenny started her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WOAI News Radio in San Antonio. Her next job was as the anchor and producer for the top-rated morning show "Pro 8 News Today" at KGNS-TV in Laredo. While in Laredo, Jenny had the chance to cover one of the country's fastest growing cities as well as the ongoing drug war across the border in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Before heading to Michigan, she worked as an anchor and reporter in Corpus Christi at KRIS-TV, where she covered topics like courts, crime and severe coastal weather. Jenny is a graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos and holds degrees in journalism and communication studies. She's originally from San Antonio, but grew up as a military brat all across Europe while her father served in the U.S. Air Force. She says Germany will always hold a special place in her heart. Jenny loves meeting people and welcomes story ideas from viewers. When not covering news, Jenny spends most of her time with her 1-year old daughter, Tessa, her husband, Dillon, and their three dogs.
