If the UTSA Roadrunners men's basketball team wants to go dancing at the NCAA's March Madness, they're going to need to repeat as champions at the Southland Conference Tournament.
Seeded No. 5, the Roadrunners (18-13) begin their title defense Wednesday, March 7, with a quarterfinal match-up against McNeese State - the school UTSA defeated in last year's Southland Conference Tournament Final to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The game tips off at 8:30 p.m. at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas. McNeese State won their last meeting in February, 58 - 54, on McNeese's home floor.
Overall, the UTSA Roadrunners men's basketball team has won four conference tournaments. However, this is the final season UTSA basketball will be competing in the Southland Conference as they prepare to join the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) later this year.
