Last Saturday night's Alamo Bowl was the most-watched cable TV show of the week, according to an industry website.

Zap2It.com reported that the San Antonio-based bowl game matching up Texas and Oregon State had 6.75 million viewers on ESPN on Dec. 29.

That easily outdistanced the sports network's other bowl games Friday and Saturday, which placed second, fourth and fifth for the week. An airing of "A Christmas Story" on TBS on Christmas Eve was in third place.

The Alamo Bowl celebrated its 20th anniversary with this year's game.
