It didn't look like it was going to be the Spurs' night once again on Wednesday as the sluggish Silver and Black fell behind by double digits in Dallas.
But San Antonio got its act together in the 4th quarter and closed out the Mavericks for their 11th straight road win to open the season, which is only the third time in NBA history that a team has achieved that mark.
Patty Mills was a big part of that 4th quarter spark that put the Spurs over, but it wasn't just his 15 points in the final frame, it was his passing.
You have to see this gorgeous alley-oop he put up for first-year Spurs center Dewayne Dedmon, who threw the hammer down to pad the Spurs' lead:
The crowd went wild, almost like it was a home game at the AT&T Center. Soon "Go Spurs Go" started reverberated at the Dallas building.
The Mavs never got their lead back after that play.
