It's time to vote for Kawhi as NBA All-Star voting has begun

Ok, sure. Kawhi Leonard is still making his way back from an injury. He didn’t even play in Wednesday night’s game as the San Antonio Spurs and head coach Gregg Popovich manage his return from injury.

But let’s be honest, Kawhi is still an All-Star and deserves your vote.

The NBA has opened up voting at NBA.com and the NBA app (download here for Google Play and the App Store) as of noon on December 21. You can vote for Kawhi on Alexa starting on Christmas Day as well.

The NBA is also doing special “2-for-1 Days” this year where your votes for Kawhi will count twice on December 31, January 4, 11, 12, and 15. The vote times will be 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Eastern, so 11 p.m. to 10:59 p.m. the next day San Antonio time.

This year, the NBA All-Star Game won’t be the traditional East vs. West. Two captains will be designated and the two captains will pick their squads.

And that goes to why Kawhi Leonard deserves to be an All-Star. Because when Kawhi’s healthy, which he will be on February 18 when the All-Star Game will be played at the Staples Center in LA, if you filled the arena with every NBA player in the league and asked two captains to pick their squad in a five-on-five game, “The Klaw” would undoubtedly be one of the first few players picked to participate in that game.

No question.

So let’s get to voting, Spurs fans!
