Week 7 of the high school football season is here and every game is big. With the season winding down, playoff spots are on the line and district championships could be decided.
Among the highlights, the Smithson Valley Rangers pulled away from the Clemens Buffaloes to win 45-21, the Brennan Bears beat the Brandeis Broncos 42-35 in a barnburner, the Judson Rockets dominated the Wagner Thunderbirds to improve to 6-1, and the Churchill Chargers beat the Madison Mavericks 21-14 in overtime.
In other action, despite losing quarterback Xavier Martin early in the game, the Steele Knights held on to beat New Braunfels Canyon 21-14, the Johnson Jaguars shut out the Lee Volunteers 42-0, the Alamo Heights Mules used a big 4th quarter to beat the Lockhart Lions 35-13, and Lanier stayed perfect in district as the Voks beat the Edison Golden Bears 28-21.
