O'Connor defeated Clemens, Steele keeps rolling, and Julon Williams has a victorious return for Judson.

The first round of the high school football playoffs brought us some exciting games as teams take their first postseason steps to a championship.

The O’Connor Panthers kept their undefeated streak alive with a 34-24 win over the Clemens Buffaloes as the KENS 5 Game of the Week lived up to the hype.

The Steele Knights stayed on a roll with a first-round beatdown as they were victorious over the Brennan Bears 31-3.

Julon Williams picked up right where he left off as the Judson Rockets quarterback returned to action and led his team to a 55-14 win over the Warren Warriors.

The Johnson Jaguars fell in the first round barely getting edged out by the Vandergrift Vipers 28-27. The Flour Bluff Hornets knocked off the Southside Cardinals 28-2. And the Madison Mavericks were eliminated by the Lake Travis Cavaliers 49-17. The Westlake Chaparrals knocked off the MacArthur Brahmas 62-14.

And the Reagan Rattlers won a thriller over the Hays Rebels 26-25.
