Harlandale volleyball coach Cardenas a tireless advocate for girls' athletics

McCollum volleyball coach Roseann Martinez, right, graduated from Harlandale in 1989 and played basketball for the Lady Indians when Sylvia Cardenas coached the Lady Indians. Martinez started her coaching career as an assistant under Cardenas at Harlandale in 1994, helping her with the volleyball program for four seasons.
