OXNARD, California — It's finally starting to look a little bit like football at Cowboys camp here in California... not a lot, but a little bit, anyway.
It took five practices, but on the third day at the Wednesday afternoon practice, players had pads on.
I actually saw a couple of guys knocked to the ground — one slipped, another tripped — but still, it was real close to something like football.
I talked with the Cowboys' best player, linebacker DeMarcus Ware. It does amaze me that Ware gets some criticism for not getting enough sacks at the right time (whatever time that is), and some criticism for not being more of a vocal leader.
I know this: If they had a team full of Demarcus Wares, they would be a very good team.
