ST. LOUIS -- Two fans had a scary moment after a St. Louis Rams' last home football game of the year.

Two men fell over 10 feet after crashing through a decorative awning just above field level. The fans were trying to grab a shoe thrown into the crowd by Rams defensive tackle Clifton Ryan.

Players often throw gear to the fans after games at this tunnel.

One of the injured men got up after a few moments, but the other fan was taken off on a stretcher. He was conscious and alert, but further details on his condition have not been released.

A Rams team doctor accompanied them both to the hospital.
