An orange tabby cat is recovering at a veterinary clinic after the Houston BARC Foundation discovered him walking the streets with an arrow through his body. According to the BARC and Purr Paws Rescue Facebook pages, the kitty — dubbed "Cupid" by shelter workers – was spotted with the injury by area residents, who called the city shelter to come pick him up. Once BARC got him, they notified Purr Paws. One of their volunteers took Cupid to a veterinary surgical center, where the arrow was successfully removed. BARC said the arrow penetrated Cupid’s muscles and one of his shoulder blades, but miraculously did not puncture anything vital.
