Sidney Lumet was an American movie director. He was nominated for four Academy Awards and won an Honorary Oscar in 2004. Lumet directed such movies as "12 Angry Men," "Dog Day Afternoon," "Network" and "The Verdict." In all, 14 of his movies were nominated for Academy Awards.
