Everyone was invited to participate in the New Braunfels Patriotic Parade and Program on Independence Day. The parade began at Bridge and Castell Streets and continued on to the Plaza and then clustered around the gazebo to listen to guest speakers. Leave it to New Braunfels to feature a wonderful Wurlitzer Military Band Organ. Afterwords it seems many of the crowd congregated across the street for refreshment at Nagelin's Bakery. Little wonder! At the side window, Preslee and Lauren handed out a delightfully flaky and cinnamony Sweet German Pretzel - although Preslee says her favorite is a sprinkled doughnut! Go figure!
