Car wash owners in Seguin are getting hosed. Thieves have been caught on camera taking what they can from businesses.
In fact, It's becoming a lucrative business.
"They'll hit the vacuum machines and try to take coins out of there," says Detective Aaron Seidenberger with
the Seguin Police Department.
Laser Wash and Pic N Pac were targeted twice in a little over a month. First on May second, a suspect,
in a grey ford mustang tried to break into a coin machine. He was captured on video at Laser Wash on West Court.
But minutes before that, police say the same suspect was trying to steal from Pic N Pac
down the street from laser wash.
Then again on June eighth, three people in a four door Black Dodge Ram were caught on tape at Laser Wash trying to
steal more cash. Police say the truck went to Pic N Pac also the same night.
Tim Baitz, owner of Laser Wash, says the burglars couldn't steal anything because
the machines were hard to break into. But they damaged machines worth thousands of dollars.
In all, police believe the burglars are responsible for more than ten-thousand dollars in damage.
Detectives also believe they targeted a San Marcos Car wash.
Police are looking for a newer model grey ford mustang and a four door black dodge ram 1500.
