Wednesday evening brilliant lights flickered and big bangs echoed through the streets of Downtown San Antonio but hours before the fireworks lit up the night sky, thousands celebrated Independence Day at HemisFair Park gawking at cool hot rods, festive tunes and street fair cuisine.
