REPORTER/ANCHOR
KENS Television, Inc., part of the Belo Corporation, is currently seeking an experienced, self-starting and motivated reporter/anchor to join our award-winning news team. Candidate must have at least three years reporting experience and be able to gather and report on the news of the day with a solid, professional communication style.
Previous experience with breaking news is essential. Anchor experience is a plus, but great storytelling is a necessity. Qualified candidates will be creative and energetic with excellent writing (television, web, social media) and communication skills; must be able to work as a team player in a high-stress environment with the ability to make quick decisions and work well under deadline pressure. A college degree in Journalism, Radio/Television or related field from accredited university preferred.

PART-TIME PM RECEPTIONIST
KENS 5 TV, CBS affiliate in San Antonio, TX and part of the Belo Corporation is now accepting applications for a part-time afternoon receptionist.
This position requires a high energy person with professional appearance. Dress is always business casual – No Shorts or Jeans. Ability to present a pleasant first impression is essential. Responsibilities will involve routing high phone traffic to station personnel while operating a multi-line phone system, greeting incoming guests and assist with other administrative duties as requested.
Applicant should enjoy working in a professional environment with excellent opportunity to learn station operations and should have knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills are a must. High School graduate or equivalent with some receptionist experience required. Must have reliable transportation.

INTERNET ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
KENS 5 Television, Inc., CBS affiliate in San Antonio and subsidiary of the Belo Corp.has an immediate opening for a high-energy, results-driven Internet Account Executive. Kens5.com is the winner of the Edward R. Murrow Award for journalism excellence for the Texas/Oklahoma region. This outside sales position will be responsible for generating revenue by prospecting and selling advertising on KENS5.com.
The Internet Account Executive is responsible for achieving goals individually and in a team environment by working with in-house Television Account Executives as well as prospecting for new business.
Responsibilities include website ad management, client relations, proposal preparation and presentations to a diverse customer base of direct clients. Understanding of web marketing and internet commerce are essential. Position requires excellent organization, negotiation, and customer service skills. Bachelors degree in Advertising, Marketing or related discipline required. Minimum 1 to 3 years sales or related experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office necessary.
Individual must be proficient in design of presentations including layout and the use of graphics. Previous media and/or sales experience a plus.
Requires excellent communications skills including ability to compose and deliver strong, creative sales presentations. Must have excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills. Strong organizational, multi tasking and deadline oriented skills are essential.

EXPERIENCED ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (2 positions)
KENS Television, Inc., part of the Belo Corporation, is currently seeking experienced Account Executives. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. The sales account executive is responsible for selling multi-platform initiatives, including internet sales, new business development, and maximizing shares of existing accounts.
Must be able to creatively prospect and close marketing sales packages by presenting presentations to clients. Salesperson must be a team player and have the ability to respond to clients’ needs promptly.
Previous media sales experience required. Must be a goal-oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to compose and deliver strong sales presentations. Must also be computer literate, creative, motivated and a self-starter. College degree in marketing or other related field and a minimum of two years experience in TV sales is required.

GREAT DAY SA INTERNSHIP (SPRING SEMESTER)
KENS 5 Television, the Belo Corp.-owned CBS affiliate in San Antonio, TX, is currently accepting resumes for a part-time intern for our locally produced morning show, Great Day SA.
The internship position is an excellent way for college students to learn about production and what it takes behind the scenes to produce a daily live show. The intern is responsible for greeting and coordinating guests and working the teleprompter. The intern will have opportunities to contribute story and segment ideas. Must be able to manage a diverse workload under deadlines.
Must be enrolled in college courses, working on a degree in a related field.
