Christopher Heath

Weekend Anchor

Raised in Texas, Christopher Heath began his journalism career at KXII in Sherman, Texas, after earning a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of North Texas. After a year on the Red River, Christopher moved to Waco where he reported out of the Killeen Bureau of KWTX. In 2005, Christopher traveled to Louisiana with rescue workers to cover the evacuation of New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. A year later, Christopher hit the road again. This time, Christopher found himself in even more treacherous waters as an embedded journalist with the Fourth Infantry Division stationed in Iraq. Returning to Waco, Christopher assumed the duties of weekend anchor at KWTX. In December 2008, Christopher joined the KENS 5 Eyewitness News team as an anchor/reporter. When not reporting, Chris and his wife enjoy exploring all that South Texas has to offer, including frequent trips to the dog park with their German Shepherd, “Lola” and Black Labrador Retriever, "Bettie."
