I am Eric Gonzales and I started with KENS 5 for the second time in July 2011. After going to Marshall, SAC and UTSA, I got my first TV job with KENS 5 in 1992, working in production. I was grateful for the opportunity to be able to learn several different positions here. After leaving KENS, I ended up in Austin at KEYE (CBS) as a news photojournalist. In 2000, I went to Atlanta, where I stayed for 11 years. I was at WGCL (CBS) and WSB (ABC). Besides working in TV in Atlanta, I got my pilot license, learned how to prepare taxes, became lifeguard certified and owned a Mexican restaurant. My parents live here, so when I was given the opportunity to come back to KENS 5, I was thrilled. In my off time, I run so I can eat Mexican food. I have traveled Europe and lately have gravitated to warm beaches in the Bahamas. I am anxious to come to work every day, and I enjoy what I do.
