A family of four instantly turned Into a family of nine Friday. Five of the kids have spent their lives with five different foster families. But from now on they will always be together in their new family.

Their new parents saw them regularly at church and were friends with their foster parents. Joe and Veronica Closner already had two kids of their own. After they saw the five kids with Bridget Smith on a "Are You my Family" segment they knew what they had to do.

“He called me at work and says, 'Babe, can you call and see what we have to do about adopting the children because God's been putting it in my heart.' And I said, 'OK,'" Veronica Closner explained.

In the Friday morning hearing 54 kids were adopted at the Bexar County Justice Center. The county holds adoption court once a month and there were about 23 families that attended. It’s all still kind of new to these kids.

“With Daniel it’s kind of hard for him because he says, ‘After we get adopted, where else are we going?’ I said, 'No, Mijo, this is it. This is your home.' And he’s like, ‘This is it!’   I’m like, 'Yeah, you’re not going anywhere else,'" says Closner.
