Cake and Ice Cream “Cake”

For a fun presentation, cut the carton completely off a half-gallon of Blue Bell Cake and Ice Cream (ice cream). Place the “uncartoned” ice cream on a small chilled serving platter with the widest flat side facing down. The ice cream now resembles a cake. Using a large heavy knife, carefully slice “cake” into wedges and serve on chilled dessert plates. If desired, garnish with a dollop of whipped topping and drizzle with chocolate dessert topping.

Note: For an even fancier presentation, work quickly and roll the “uncartoned” ice cream in chocolate shavings or chocolate cookie crumbs to cover all sides before placing on the platter. Slice and serve as above.
