SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A federal grand jury has indicted six men on charges of running a multimillion-dollar drug trafficking ring to import cocaine into Puerto Rico.
U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez says the suspects are charged with importing cocaine from Latin America through nearby Caribbean islands into Puerto Rico from 2006 to 2011. She estimates the profit at $67 million.
Rodriguez said Thursday that the suspects were arrested this week in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
