Voter registration ends Tuesday. The Bexar County Elections Office will be working overtime this week to get everyone signed up.
Registering to vote doesn’t take very long, and there are only a few things asked on the application.
In Texas, you don’t need an ID to register, but if you go to the polls without a registration card, then you will need some kind of identification.
“Today, we had 898,000 registered voters this morning. When we had the last presidential in Bexar County, we had 931,000, so we're going to climb each day,” said Jacquelyn Callanen, Bexar County elections administrator.
You can pick up an application at any library or you can go to http://elections.bexar.org or http://www.votetexas.gov and fill one out online.
Both need to be signed and sent in by the end of next Tuesday or brought into the election office downtown.
They will be open this Saturday and Sunday until 5 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday until 7 p.m.
