Three arrested in connection with San Marcos homicide

SAN MARCOS, Texas - A New Braunfels man was shot to death and run over by a car during what police believe to be a drug deal Monday night.

The San Marcos Police Department said Kyle Sample of Three Rivers and a 14-year-old were arrested June 20 and charged with capital murder in connection with Ryan Kincaid's death.

Nichole Moore has also been charged with endangering a child.

Police believe the three met the victim for a drug deal in San Marcos.

Officers initially responded to the scene after reports of a pedestrian crash at the Laundry Basket in the 1500 block of Aquarena Springs Drive around 11:50 p.m.

Kincaid had reportedly been shot once in the chest and was run over by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers later found the car involved at a nearby business, and found the three suspects at a Super 8 Motel.

This marks the second homicide in 2017 for San Marcos.
